Nobody can join my household
An invite code is eight characters, shown in two groups of four
like 4KTM 9PBQ. Each code works
once, and it stops working after 24 hours, so
invite one person at a time and make a fresh code for the next
one. If a code goes astray you can revoke it, and if it has
already been used it cannot be used again by anybody else.
Two-person access and Deluxe seat access are separate. If the app says the house is full, check its Deluxe screen for your household's current access.
The week reset and I lost my points
The week closes at 7pm on Sunday, London time, and a new one starts straight after. Your points for the week that just ended are not lost: they go into the record. Your XP, your best streak and your season standing all carry across. Closing the week never takes away points you have earned.
I paid and the app still says Free
Open the Deluxe screen and try Restore purchases. The app reconciles purchases with household access; this may also help after changing phones. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still will not budge, email us and say roughly when you bought it.
Subscription access covers the household. If somebody you live with has already paid for this household, check its access before making another purchase. The payer's Apple Account manages billing.
What it costs
Dust-Up is free to download on the App Store. Dust-Up Deluxe is an in-app subscription, and Apple shows the current price and terms before you buy. Check the app's Deluxe screen for your household's current access.
Managing a subscription
Subscription management is handled through your Apple Account. Check the terms Apple shows before purchase for the conditions that apply to your subscription. If you need help, email us at the address above.
Changing subscription access does not delete your household record. Access to older records and additional seats may change. Household resets and account deletion are separate actions.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. You can allow or disable them in your iPhone settings for Dust-Up. Child seats have no separate login or device notification token; notifications belong to signed-in devices.
Adding and removing people
An admin can invite somebody, remove somebody, or pause a seat for a person who is away. Pausing a seat keeps that person's record and takes them off this week's board, which is what you want for somebody on holiday. On Deluxe, an admin can also add a child seat: a name and an emoji, with no email address and no login, for a child playing on a device you already own.
Starting over, and deleting your data
Profile → Help → Reset options contains the grown-up recovery controls. Start this week again clears this week's scores and completion records, returning jobs to the board. XP and best streaks are kept; times recorded only in the cleared week may no longer appear. Wipe everything clears past weeks, levels, streaks, record time and season, and keeps your list of jobs. Both affect the whole household, neither can be undone, and neither cancels a subscription.
To request account deletion, go to Profile → Account → Delete my account in the app. Shared household game history remains in an anonymised seat. If the request fails or you can't get into the app, email us from the address you signed up with. See the Privacy Policy for what is held and why.
